Learn to Kayak at Pop Stansell Park
This is a great introduction to kayaking in a sheltered park that has abundant wildlife to observe. We start on land with some basic skills before we enter the shallow water in our kayaks. Background on the ecology and the importance of estuaries will be covered while we paddle. Ideal for women, couples and families with older children. This two hour class includes instruction, kayak and safety gear. Cost $30-35 per person depending on the total number of people.

We have several sunset and evening trips scheduled this year. Please call or email for the latest dates.

February 1st Good Guys Cleanup at Pop Stansell, 12 noon - This will be a garbage pickup at a couple of islands we have adopted. You must bring your own kayak or contact me to see if I have any space to load one of mine for you.
February 8th Sierra Women's Withlacoochee Trip - see details under Sierra trips.
February 18th Rescheduled Sierra Homosassa Trip - see details under Sierra trips
March 1st Big Bayou in St. Pete, 10am - We will be launching from Grandview Park in St. Pete and exploring the large seagrass beds where many seabirds, manatee and dolphin are often seen.
March 15th Sunset Trip on Upper Tampa Bay, 6PM. We will paddle out from Oldsmar and enjoy the setting sun.

Most guided trips are 2-3 hours long and range in price from $25-40 per person which includes a kayak, safety gear and a small snack. Call for more details.
