Observe always that everything is the result of change, and get used to thinking that there is nothing Nature loves so well as to change existing forms and make new ones like them.

We also participate in cleanups with the Sierra Club. Help our feathered friends by picking up trash at two spoil islands just off Pop Stansell Park in Palm Harbor that we have adopted. Discover the perils faced by nesting birds who must share these islands with campers and high tides that often bring debris. Men, women and older children are welcome to help.
Participants must bring their own kayaks or canoes. Visit the Suncoast Sierra site for details.

Women's Weekly Walking Group -Now Meeting in the Morning!
This Fall, we are breaking with tradition and meeting Thursday mornings at 8am to walk two miles along the Bay together in beautiful Philippe Park. We start with gentle stretching exercises and include time for a short nature reading and silent walking meditation. First Fall 2011 morning walk - September 8th, 8am - Rise&Shine!(no charge).
Sacred Swims, Honeymoon Island
In response to the Deep Horizon Oil Spill and the quandry of how we can help - we have been meeting at the beach to swim and give thanks to the Gulf and all her creatures one Sunday morning each month. We spend some quiet reflective time on the beach and in the water. There is plenty of time for fun and visiting, too.
Note-
During the cold months, we are meeting once a month to meditate together outdoors in local parks.
Please email for next date.
Camping and Backpacking
During the winter months, several campouts (Fort DeSoto, Jay B. Starkey, Chassahowitzka) and backpacking trips are often scheduled. Some of these are sponsored by the Sierra Club. See the Suncoast Sierra site or call for more information.
